Integration via interfaces
ASTRAS can be connected to other software systems via interfaces. These days, interface implementation forms part of almost every large software project for us. Our wealth of experience thus provides us with many examples of successful implementations.
Supplier master data, product/item data, material/product groups, supplier KPIs, and ratings or financial data (sales/spend) can be exchanged via interfaces to internal IT systems (e.g. SAP R/3, SAP SRM, other ERP systems, subscription/standard servers, portal solutions, QA systems).
Data can be exchanged either directly or via an EAI system (Enterprise Application Integration system, e.g. SAP BC/XI/PI), i.e. a middleware. Interfaces can work synchronously or asynchronously.
We offer various interface technologies: WS, RFC, BAPI, IDOC, etc. The connection technology that should be used to set up the interface to the application always depends on the individual case, i.e. on the specific project, the available system landscape, the individual business processes, and document flows.
Automotive customer example: Connection to SAP systems and request for complete cost breakdowns in PM. Usage via NPM for requests for purchase order requisitions or quick inquiries. Connections to portal and active directory for single sign-on.
