QAD Allocation is a best of breed solution provider for strategic purchasing and supplier quality management.

We are founder led and have been operating for over 20 years. The entire procurement process beyond contract awarding of a product lifecycle is centralized & organized using our Supplier Management, Sourcing, Auctions and Collaboration modules, formerly ASTRAS.

The software is developed, distributed and supported in Munich and used by our customers (e.g. BMW, Siemens, Stadtwerke München, MAGNA and VOITH) as an integrated SaaS or on-premise solution.


Allocation becomes part of QAD Inc, rebranding as QAD Allocation. The publicly-traded company headquartered in California provides ERP and enterprise software. QAD serves customers in over 100 countries and employs 2,000 people worldwide. QAD Allocation will remain an independent division within the QAD Group.


Over 65 companies from various industries use the award-winning ASTRAS software as an integrated SaaS or on-premise solution.


Allocation expands to North America.


The Collaboration module is presented to enable cross-departmental and cross-company workflows for all process participants.


The ASTRAS core functionality offers comprehensive functions for supplier management and parts / article management.

Allocation Network GmbH was founded in 1998 by the current managing partners Andreas Prohaska, Bernhard Soltmann and Andreas Vollmann.

Already in the first year, the first version of the software was able to map purchasing and negotiation processes of companies.

since 2000

In 2000, we conducted the first auctions in the automotive supply industry with ASTRAS and thus extended the functionality of our software to include dynamic negotiation aspects.

In 2003, we rolled out integrated supplier management systems for the first two customers. During this time, the foundation stone was laid for today’s portal, an integrated supplier management and sourcing system, which is now available to our customers in Release 6.x based on the latest web technologies.

The year 2013 was marked by standardized communication workflows. By introducing the Collaboration module, our customers are able to map communication processes in the areas of supplier development and quality management as well as internal approval processes.
